German GP Race Report

Alonso is faster. Understood?
Ferrari is back or so it seems. The team has dominated the race from the get go. Even in qualifying, Ferrari was showing a side we haven't seen since the start of this season. But it is clouded in controversy. Even though indirect, team orders were issued by Ferrari and now they face a $100,000 and further actions may be taken.
In lap 48, Massa was radioed saying Alonso is faster. It can't me coincidence that only a few turns later, Massa slowed down after a corner and Alonso overtook him with ease. Moreover, Massa was thanked for being magnanimous by his team.
Last Season, Massa had a terrible crash after being hit on the head by a spring from Barrichello's car and the German GP was an exact year after .
It wasn't a good weekend for Vettel. Even though he had pole, he lost the race lead moments after the race started owing to a poor start. He ended up two positions down at third and is now tied with his team mate in championship points. His team mate also had a poor race starting at p4 and finishing 6th.
The German GP wasn't good towards Force India at all. Both drivers started the race at the back of the pack at P19 and P21. And neither was able to get any championship points for the race as they finished at 16 and 17.
Mercedes barely managed to stay with the top ten with Nico and Schumacher finishing at 8th and 9th respectively. Renault had a decent race with Kubica and Petrov finishing at 7th and 10th.
The McLarens retains the top slot even though they did not get a podium finish. But the battle for the championship gets even tighter as Ferrari and Alonso inches closer towards the Red Bulls and McLarens.
Only six cars completed the entire 67 laps of the race. None of the six Germans who call Hockenhiem home track was able to strike gold but alteast the fastest lap belongs to one. Vettel in his final lap set the time of 1:15.880.
