Renault, Ferrari and McLaren announce launch dates

Jan 15, 2010 - 08:13 AM

The covers are starting to come off... Soon after Lotus' announcement of its 2010 car launch date, McLaren, Ferrari and Renault have said their cars will also launch towards the end of January or at the beginning of February.

McLaren has said that it will be launching its 2010 car, the MP4-25, on the morning of Friday 29th January in the UK. Ferrari will launch the successor to the F60 later this month on January 28 at Maranello, while Renault will take the covers off its 2010 car on January 31 at Valencia before the team's first winter test.

"We'll present the car on 28 January in Maranello with a ceremony dedicated to the media and to our partners," Ferrari team boss Stefano Domenicali confirmed. The Renault is due to be unveiled in front of the team's garage with new principal Eric Boullier in attendance along with number one driver Robert Kubica and his as yet-to-be confirmed team-mate.

So in the case of Renault, it could well be a day of two announcements!
