Raikkonen-Ferrari option for 2007?

Aug 26, 2005 - 06:27 PM

According to the German media, Kimi Raikkonen has signed an option deal with Ferrari team for the 2007 season.

But what would be interesting to note that this option is likely to rely over the continuance of Michael Schumacher with Ferrari. Now Schumi's long time relationship with Ferrari may ensue in little chances of him stepping out of Ferrari. However the news over Kimi's entry into Ferrari, with Michael still at the hot-seat does not seem to blend correctly.

So does this mean that Michael Schumacher retire? Or is it that Ferrari has signed an option with Kimi in anticipation of Schumi's retirement by 2007? Only time will tell

Meanwhile the media is embroiling over gossips, which allege Schumacher's manager of spreading incorrect information over Schumi's consideration to join McLaren team----as part of a strategy to exhort more money from Ferrari.
